Since 1952, the Church of the Holy Rosary has been a strong and vibrant Roman Catholic parish in the heart of the Donelson area of Nashville, TN. We are the faith home for hundreds of families - some with a history going back several generations in the parish; a welcoming presence for new familes moving to our growing area every day; and a warm way station for any the visitors passing through Nashville who come to join us for worship and prayer.
The Evening Angels and Ladies Guild are two of the many ministries of Holy Rosary parish .The purpose of these organizations is to promote Christian living and service in Holy Rosary Parish; foster the spiritual development of the women of the Parish; and to provide opportunities for friendship and community spirit through social, spiritual, culture and educational programs and events. They are responsible for organizing the Christmas Bazzar and volunteering to help run the event each year.
HISTORY OF THE CHRISTMAS BAZAAR
In 1994 we had a small bake sale in the Academy Library which netted $500 which got us excited to do more. So then we started meeting every Thursday April to November making crafts to sell and we moved our event to the Academy Cafeteria. After a few years we added a Silent Auction and soup and sandwich Cafe which added to our income. Then we added Gift Baskets. In 2017 we added vendor booths. The proceeds are used to purchase items for the church and to support local nonprofits such as Second Harvest Donelson and Caring Choices.
